A useful summary of economic survey of Pakistan FY 2022-2023. It also shows the comparison with previous year. One can clearly understand how deteriorating conditions of economy just over a year.
Last week the Ministry of Finance issued the economic survey of Pakistan for the financial year 2022-2023. The severity of the formidable financial challenges can be understood only by doing a comparative analysis of the current year's survey with the previous one. Given here is a comparison of 20 key economic indicators during PTI govt vs PDM govt. The comparison will be useful in guiding future decisions. All the figures presented here are from the Ministry of Finance (either PES FY 2021-2022 & 2023 or the budget books), and they show a horrible trend. Only five out of twenty key economic indicators are on the progress line. The rest of the indicators like CPI, FDI, Remittance, exports, public debt, and industry growth are touching to point of least return. The situation is alarming and it needs attention.
