Welcome to CSSExamDesk by me, Aamir Mahr.
First of all, let me thanks to all who have remained with me with their unending and unconditional support and love for my work, I have been rendering free services for CSS and PMS candidates since last four years on social media platforms. The very purpose of creating this website is to help those candidates who want to avoid accumulating the unnecessary information in this journey. As it has been observed that there is an overwhelming tendency among aspirants to accumulate a lot of books —so much so that they even forget the limit of covering the topics as required according to the given syllabus of the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC). I personally believe, there is no end to the reading the books. But the preparation time for such competitive exams is limited and students cannot afford to read everything they feel important and essential. The obvious point to say, candidates must give their precious time to the topics mentioned in the syllabus only and they must keep the past papers analysis before starting that a particular subject. They should not go out of it and try not to cover the unnecessary topics. This will not only save their time but also their focus, energy and momentum. This would surely clutter their preparation. If they want to study a book from the exam’s perspective, read only a few pages/ paragraphs which can be linked with the syllabus topic(s). Get the xeroxed of it or reproduce it in their own handwritten notes and then keep the book aside. This may seem a small thing, but often neglected by many candidates. Most importantly, after covering a single topic, candidates should attempt practice question(s) on their own to gauge the reproduction of knowledge. This writing practice not only improves the written expression and presentation skills of answering a question but also serves a semantic memory (long-term memory). So, candidates should also forget about memorizing the study material. Last but not least, be the part of my initiative to get regular study material and articles for all compulsories and optionals, especially for Essay, Current Affairs, Pakistan Affairs, Islamic Studies, International Relations, History of America and others.
